My Favorite Cardigans to Go with The New Maxi:
I just bought a simple, black, strapless maxi dress from Asos.com and have since fallen in love. It made it’s cameo last weekend at dinner over some insanely delish Greek food. Can I just say, the maxi is amazing should you want to go all-out with food, buffet style except without the buffet. Moving right along, we sat outside and, even though it hit eighty during the day, the temps had dipped. I was in need of a cardigan, but not just any cardigan.
Since the dress is black, as are so many pieces hanging out in my closet, I wanted something with a little more ‘oomph.’ Would it be striped? Not sure. I’m on a stripey binge as of late. Then I was thinking a pop of color to go back to a neutral background sounds right. Always a good option. A few other variations on the cardigan theme made their way onto my list of favorites out there.
Either way, you cannot go wrong with a cardi. The more you have, the easier a follow-up answer to the, ‘what to wear,’ question is. Check out my favorites below, fashion-slideshow style.

Cardigans are a basic in any closet as a layering piece or the main event when it comes to the top half of any equation. But cardigans are just one little category in a sea of all items that can be used to answer all of your ‘what-to-wear’ questions. There’s more to look at in the land of my never-ending fashion favorites from shoes, bags, jewelry, and the list goes on. Check it all out, favorites past and present, here.
