I have fallen in love, with a tote. ‘Tis the season right? Sure, this printed pvc tote isn’t about to go to Hallmark and spend an extra five bucks to get this year’s sad excuse of a Valentine’s gift with purchase of a greeting card that opens up and plays ‘Wind Beneath My Wings.” But I guess I’ll just have to get over it.

Actually, I’d rather have this tote. Studded handle with eye catching graphic print splattered across the front and all. Not only is this the perfect piece to add a little spring to your step as we head into, or should I say, shamelessly will summer to come (I know you’ve seen the guy in shorts and flip flops during thirty degree weather pretending like the worst of the winter months are over), you can literally fit your life into it for daytime, weekend trips, laptops, whatever.

And now, how to wear this printed pvc creation from Marni.

The graphic print is a bold one that not only deserves, but will unabashedly steal the fashion spotlight from almost anything you put next to it. Why put up a fight? So, I went back to black for the entire look.

The loose ruffle tunic from Vince:  This soft and luxe cashmere, ruffle front tunic in your basic jet black has wide dolman sleeves that help pull off that ‘I-didn’t-even-have-to-try’ look. The ruffle front details are what take the casual cut from basic to interesting.

J Brand Skinny black jeans: Basic, basic, basic. J Brand is a favorite of mine in the land of denim and a skinny black jean is a must-have at the moment. If you’re not feeling the jean, go with a legging and pull the tunic down a bit to not reveal too much of your best assets.

Dolce Vita’s ‘April’ Black Platform Pump:  Right, so, love Dolce Vita and love this platform pump. It’s the perfect example of how you can take a basic black pump and make it fashion forward by adding a little height and dimension. Versatile is just one of the many descriptors I could use here…Don’t even get me started.

MICHAEL Michael Kors Black Sunglasses:  A slightly dramatic, black plastic frame from MK is perfect to avoid any nasty squinting moments. Plus, they just look cool and the circular logo at the temple is a nice touch.

Amrita Singh’s Coral and Gold Plated Ring: This statement ring ties right into the terracotta going on in the tote’s graphic print. Amrita Singh has a way with embellishment and this ring is the perfect example of that.
