How to Wear a Yellow Striped Top & Not Look Like Gum:

I usually avoid all shades of yellow for some reason. I don’t know when the bias began, but I can tell you when it ended. Um, now. I’m all over the striped grey and yellow long-sleeve, v-neck top from RVCA. It was a love at first sight thing. The next step was just figuring out how to wear it. Case in point:

Pairing the long-sleeve top with denim is a complete no-brainer. This is all about how to wear the striped top for daytime, and more specifically, at the office.

I love the yellow pop back to navy, and this BCBG pencil skirt hit the nail on the head for the category. The color combo just works, although a bright white is also an option (pants, skirts, whatever you’ve got). The rest was gravy. Next, I pulled the L.A.M.B multi-media platform sandals, (“multi-media,” as in, tons of different colors and prints that bring it into the realm of edgy and versatile) into the equation. Finally, a classic, cream satchel from Kate Spade to sit at the elbow and polish it all off with a Belle Noel cocktail ring.
