Spoiler alert! Or really not at this point…I was going for the below look today, and since I can never tell what mood I’ll be in the day of when I lay these out over the weekend, there tend to be some last minute changes. See what I’m talking about:

Here’s what I actually wore:

I dropped the skirt for the pant (I very rarely feel skirts that aren’t in the pencil silhouette, and I thought I would be comfy branching out, but it was a no-go. I think the Anthropoligie skirt may soon find itself on ebay. I love it, it’s just not ‘me.’)

Then, I vetoed the bag and swapped it out for a classic hobo from Kooba. The purple-ish wash on the Matt & Nat was not going to mesh well with the champagne/taupe pant. Here’s my girl:

Finally, since it’s going to be eighty degrees here (or so they say-boo, I want Fall), I went with an open toe wedge from Urban Outfitters that is high enough to allow for the hem on the pants to stay off the ground.

There you have it. The old switch-out the morning of. It usually strikes when I’m running ridiculously late because I’ve been playing with the site, I’m gulping down my tea, trying it all on, and then just getting the ‘feeling’ to change it out. You can plan and plan to your heart’s content, but the bottom line is feeling comfortable and confident in the clothes you end up putting on your back.
