I’m not going to give you the long, drawn out, ‘about’ story. Who has the time really.
What I will say is that, after over a decade in high-end fashion, I’ve learned a few things. There’s still so much left to learn and see, but for now, I believe that when it comes to shopping, less can be more. I also believe in one item goes into the closet, one items finds a new home somewhere else. It’s not about accumulating, there has to be some celebration to it, and the only way you can celebrate what you have hanging up in your closet is to buy quality, not quantity, and invest without suffering from heart-wrenching buyer’s remorse.
A label isn’t always what it’s cracked up to be. There’s plenty of names I adore and will always go back to, but I’m always on the hunt to find more amazing picks from emerging designers out there. If there’s an amazing story behind a product, I’m all over it and you will be able to see that.
I live, breathe, eat fashion. Seriously, I’m surrounded and that is because I love it. I know I’m not alone and that there are thousands of fashion blogs out there. I understand why. I’m not the girl who gets all dolled up and then poses in a kitchen for her boyfriend to take a picture of with a far-off vacant expression. Love the girls that pull this off well, love, but I’m not her. I want to get the best, I know what works, I have the disposable income to get it, but that doesn’t mean I’m buying just to buy.
I get inspired with the runway, pull together some daily picks, bring the catwalk down to reality by showing how I’d wear it, and above all, try not to take it all too seriously. Hence being able to enjoy my passion and not beat it to a pulp.
If I can inspire you, the reader, in the process or help give some additional exposure to a new label out there that I believe in, then I’m a happy girl. That’s what it’s all about.
The bottom line: as you read and click, discover and get inspired. That’s it in a fashion-savvy nutshell.
Enough of that…let’s begin.
